Commonly Asked Questions

Q. How old does my puppy need to be before we can take it home?

A. Puppies need to be 8 weeks old, which is when they reach the stage of development that they are ready to leave mom and start their training with you.

Q. Do you have a health guarantee?

A. Even though we feel confident that you are getting a healthy puppy, we still have a limited health guarantee that covers serious health problems that may arise in the first year of life. When you contact us, we can send you more information.

Q. Have your dogs been tested for genetic health problems?

A. Our breeding dogs have been genetic health tested using Embarks breeder’s genetic tests. They also receive regular checkups, deworming, and immunizations.

Q. How has my puppy been socialized?

A. Our puppies enjoy a couple of weeks snuggling with mom, before we introduce them to children. We begin the Neurological Stimulation Training/Super Dog training shortly after birth. By time your puppy goes home with you, it will have been socialized with small children and a variety of noises and situations.

Q. What do you provide for the puppy before we take it home?

A. Your puppy will be dewormed, have a health check-up and first shots. We will also provide you with a blanket that smells like mom, a bag of starter food, a collar and leash.

Q. What are our options for picking up our puppy?

A. You can come to our home and pick up your puppy or if you need we can meet you (depending on your location) or help you make arrangements if you live further away.

Q. Do you have any expectations of the buyer?

A. We want all of our puppies to go to good homes. We will ask you a bit about yourself and expect that you will have questions for us too. We also expect that you will keep your new puppy up to date on its shots and provide proper care and training.
